Hello, my name is Jaki Watkins, and I would like to welcome you to the webpage for Cloud-free Counselling.
I work with individuals, couples, families, young people and children. I also offer clinical Supervision one to one or in groups.
Counselling is about change – a shift towards emotional wellbeing, exercising choice, lifting barriers that hold you back, and spending time focusing on yourself.
Talking therapies have been proven to work, and it depends on who is listening. Undertaking professional counselling is for many, the first step towards self healing. To help you on that path, I offer a safe comfortable environment which is confidential, supportive and free from judgement.
To find out if counselling is right for you, I offer a complimentary initial session; it will answer questions you may have, and provide the opportunity for you to see for yourself why so many people choose talking therapies to help cope with life’s difficulties.
I am a Humanistic/Integrative Counsellor and Supervisor, and a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, working within its framework of good practice. The framework includes a responsibility to attend regular supervision of my work as a counsellor. I have a personal commitment to continued professional development, and regularly attend training workshops in specific areas of counselling and psychotherapy to further my skills and knowledge.
I practice in Mid Sussex, with a team of qualified therapists in Hurstpeirpoint. Hopefully the information contained on this website will give you a feel for what counselling is, the way I work, and will also answer questions you may have if you are considering entering into counselling. My goal is to create a genuine and accepting relationship where you are free to explore thoughts and feelings without fear of judgment. This relationship between client and counsellor is essential in helping you feel free to make choices that are right for you. This is your opportunity to increase self-awareness and to be able to make sense of your difficulties and experiences, as well as to gain a greater understanding of deep-rooted feelings, ingrained patterns of behaviour and interpersonal relationships.
